THE ROLE OF HOMOEOPATHY IN OSTEOARTHRITIS: A REVIEW

Osteoarthritis (OA) is the most prevalent chronic joint disease, characterized by progressive cartilage degeneration, subchondral bone remodeling, osteophyte formation, and varying degrees of synovial inflammation. It represents a leading cause of pain and disability worldwide, especially among the elderly. This review summarizes current understanding of OA, including its epidemiology, risk factors, pathophysiology, clinical features, diagnostic approaches, and management strategies, with an emphasis on both conventional and complementary treatment options.
